Get to Know You session
50 min. session. Fee: $100.
(All fees shown include taxes and are in CAD)

This is a relaxed conversation to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

Who this is for: Anyone considering therapy or a somatic session who wants more time to support their decision. Perfect if you have complex concerns, prefer more spaciousness, or simply desire a detailed and thorough exploration before taking your next step.

What to expect: We’ll talk openly about what’s bringing you here, your hopes for working together, and any questions you have. I’ll share how I work and you’ll get a genuine feel for my approach. No pressure, just more time to help you discern about whether we might be right for each other.

What this is not: This is not a therapy/therapeutic session and no treatment is provided. You won’t become my client during our meeting. Think of it as a spacious consultation – your time to gather/share information and trust your instincts about moving forward.

The goal is helping you feel confident and clear about whatever you decide next.

Note: when you book a Get To Know You Session, you will be sent a brief questionnaire that will need to be returned in order to confirm your booking.

Somatic movement and dance session

Sessions are either 50 mins (fee: $200) or 80 mins (fee: $250).

A somatic movement and dance session is a relational, embodied practice designed for individuals with a strong desire to process emotions and experiences through their body’s wisdom. As a relational somatic practitioner, I offer experiential support that honours your body’s natural capacity for healing and authentic expression.

Movement can appear as stillness, micro-gestures, or full-body expression—this practice reclaims movement as your birthright, free from judgments about what bodies ‘should’ do. Dance and movement become pathways to express, process, and integrate your experiences through exploring natural, everyday movements that already live within your body. No technique or dance experience is needed—only the honouring of movement that wants to emerge from within you.

Each session is uniquely shaped by what your body and nervous system need, whether that’s breathwork, sound practices, gentle movement, rhythmic expression, or profound stillness. I may offer guided self-touch and intentional energetic touch support, helping you reconnect with your body’s sensations while cultivating felt safety within our therapeutic relationship.

My approach is grounded in somatics as liberation practice, drawing from African diasporic culture and communal practices that decentre colonial perspectives. This creates spaciousness for co-regulation, relational support, and attunement while honouring your cultural wisdom and inviting connection to your ancestry and the land. However, our work centres your care and autonomy. Together we honour your life force energy, helping you re-member and return to your innate sense of knowing. We honour your body’s wisdom and cultural ways of knowing at your own pace, respecting your level of comfort. Wherever you are at and what feels right to you will be honoured.

Please note: Booking a somatic movement and dance session is separate from booking a psychotherapy session. If you are interested in psychotherapy services that integrate SMD as a practice, please make sure to clarify this.

Somatic Experiencing® session

Sessions are either 50 mins (fee: $200) or 80 mins (fee: $250).

Somatic Experiencing® is a gentle, body-centred approach that supports your nervous system’s natural capacity to heal from trauma and stress. It can offer support by creating spaciousness for difficult sensations and emotions while completing protective responses that may have been interrupted during overwhelming experiences.

My approach integrates sensorimotor processing and holds space for ancestral wisdom to be present. You might notice shifts in sensation, breathing, or movement as we gently track what’s happening in your system. There’s no pressure to talk through experiences—we’ll follow your body’s wisdom, allowing whatever needs to emerge to do so at its own pace.

This work can nurture greater awareness and widen your capacity for sensations while supporting your nervous system’s journey toward balance and honouring the healing wisdom that already exists within you.

Please note: An SE session is separate from booking a psychotherapy session. If you are interested in psychotherapy services that integrate SE as a trauma-informed modality, please make sure to clarify this.

Ancestral Hands: Virtual, Supportive Somatic Touch is a deeply nourishing somatic touch practice that honours your connection to ancestors of kin, affinity, land, elements, and all beloved spirits. This gentle, relational approach weaves together somatic modalities and spirit-guided wisdom within a sacred container of healing.

Through guided self-touch and intentional energetic touch, we work together to support your nervous system’s natural capacity for integration and healing. You might be invited to place a hand on your heart, touch your face, or engage in other mindful self-touch practices that honour your body’s wisdom and cultural ways of knowing.

This practice is rooted in socio-cultural attunement and centres the wisdom of Black, African Diasporic, and multicultural healing traditions. Drawing from ancestral knowledge and embodied somatic practices, Ancestral Hands recognizes touch as a powerful form of nonverbal communication that speaks directly to your nervous system, supporting deeper connection to yourself, ancestral wisdom, and your inherent resilience.

As with all offerings in my practice, your safety, consent, and comfort are paramount. All sessions are conducted fully clothed with clear boundaries, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Currently, all Ancestral Hands: Somatic Touch sessions are offered online, creating accessible sacred space for this healing work from wherever you are.

This gentle practice invites you to rest with your ancestors while honouring the fullness of who you are in your healing journey.
