Hi, I’m Camille, they. them \ she. her
I am a Black, African Diasporic, bi-racial, multi-ethnic and multicultural being — a queer femme with non-apparent disabilities and neurodiversity.
My work as a facilitator and shape-shifter is rooted in activism for Black liberation. I honour my connection to ancestral waters, drawing strength and nourishment from the spiritual heritage that guides this work.
I approach community building and social equity through the intersections of my identity, lived experiences, and dedication to anti-oppressive, culturally affirming and decolonial praxis.
Outside of sessions, you’ll find me surfskating, making art, dancing, practising djembe and dundunba rhythms, or communing in nature — most often near water. It’s where I come home to myself.
My practice is rooted in African Diasporic spiritual tradition and an animistic relationship with the living world — guided by ancestral memory in service of collective liberation. I work from the understanding that healing is holistic, that body, mind, and spirit are inseparable, and that the wisdom of ancestors, land, and community is central to that wholeness. While I draw on contemporary somatic modalities, my approach runs deeper than these frameworks — rooted in African Diasporic and Indigenous traditions long before they were named by Western codification.
I work with adults 18+ centring the care of women and femmes from Black and African Diasporic communities. My clients are from all walks of life and tend to be individuals from the Global Majority (BIPOC) and 2SLGBTQ+ communities navigating the intersections of identity, embodiment, and healing.
My practice spans psychotherapy, embodied somatic coaching, somatic movement and dance, embodied facilitation, and practice consulting for fellow practitioners.
My commitment is to walk alongside you in your journey towards embodiment and healing, honouring both your individual story and the collective wisdom that emerges when we embrace our full humanity.
Camille guided me through a water and winter solstice somatic exercise during a virtual session, and what stood out most was how natural and unforced the experience felt.
Camille has a way of guiding without forcing, allowing your body to lead while they hold the container. That made it feel safe, intuitive, and deeply personal.
I left the session feeling both calm and expanded—more aware of what my body holds and how it communicates.

Camille is a highly skilled and caring practitioner with impeccable integrity. Their facilitation created a sacred container that acted as a portal for me to rest and recalibrate amidst traumatizing violence and upheaval in the world around me. I consistently felt encouraged to bring my whole self and embrace everything that came up with gentle curiosity. Their work centers personal choice, consent and compassion with such care that I was able to make connections to my past and clarify my future easily.

The Aya is a west African Adinkra symbol meaning “Fern”.
This symbol represents perseverance, endurance, and resourcefulness. It symbolizes defiance against oppression. It is derived from an expression that when translated means “I am not afraid of you. I am independent of you”. The fern is known for its capacity to grow in unusual places, withstanding tough climates and challenging environments.
Like the Aya, the human spirit holds the capacity to overcome adversity, to grow and even thrive despite the many challenging conditions it encounters. With support and collective healing we can learn to embody our resilience and harness our inner strength.

I acknowledge the sacred earth beneath my feet, known as Tkaronto and ancestrally as Turtle Island—the territories of the Anishinaabe, Mississauga and Haudenosaunee peoples. These lands and waters nourish and sustain me and I carry immense gratitude for them. I acknowledge with gratitude the current treaty holders, the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation. I acknowledge these lands are bound by the sacred Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant—a promise to share and protect the gifts of the Great Lakes region with respect and reciprocity.
As a Black Canadian settler, and of African-Diasporic origin on Turtle Island, I stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples, committed to supporting resistance. I am committed to continuous learning, building relationships and the actions outlined in the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
Ancestors: I acknowledge my African ancestors who were stolen from their homelands and forced to labour on these lands and all those of African Diasporic and displanted histories. I echo the call for reparations and justice. I honour the wisdom, power and guidance of all the ancestors, their contribution and spirit. Asé-O
