Upcoming offerings
Dear Ones,
As winter deepens and we move toward February, I find myself thinking about what it means to gather—both in celebration of what’s been built and in honouring what wants to be nourished.
I’m holding two offerings this season: one where I’m facilitating in community with others, and a three-part series I’m bringing forward to honour Black History Month.
Blooming Through Community
Saturday, January 31, 2026 | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
I’ll be facilitating for Adornment Stories at this beautiful community gathering—a celebration of their Moving Our Stories program that uplifts the mental wellness of Black queer and trans communities. Through music, storytelling, somatic engagement, and shared dialogue, we’ll explore how we continue to nourish ourselves and each other. This event is open to the wider community. Register through their website here.
Black History Month: A Somatic Nourishment Series
Centring Black African Diasporic women and gender expansive beings
A three-part virtual wellness series honouring ancestral wisdom and nourishing ourselves through embodied practice. Each offering stands alone—attend separately or all three.
All offerings are pay-what-you-can, virtual (Zoom), welcome all abilities, and require no previous experience.
Spirit & FIRE ~ A Somatic Movement and Dance Experience
Saturday, February 14, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM EST | 90 minutes
Fire as portal, warmth, and ancestral power. Through gentle, guided movement and dance, we’ll alchemize the blessings and gifts our ancestors have passed down—honouring their wisdom while carrying it forward in our own bodies.
Ancestral Hands – A Restorative Practice
Sunday, February 15, 2026 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM EST | 2 hours
What if rest is your medicine? Through guided somatic supportive touch, somatic awareness, and ancestral presence, we journey into the deep quietude where healing happens. Rest as radical reclamation. Rest as resistance.
Nourishing Self-Expression & Creativity
Sunday, February 22, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST | 2 hours
Your creative expression is a living extension of all who came before you. We’ll explore movement and dance, drawing, and writing—honouring that creative expression, particularly within Black culture, is necessity.

The Body Knows About Winter
Dear Ones,
Our bodies have been asking us to slow down. Not in words, exactly—more like a gentle insistence, a gravitational pull toward stillness.
Winter invites us toward our inner sanctuary. It asks us to rest in ways we often resist.
Rest is not the absence of movement, but a different kind of movement entirely. The movement toward ourselves. Toward the quiet places we’ve been too busy to visit. Toward the ancestors who have always been holding us, even when we forget to notice.
This is the terrain of somatic nourishment—the deep tending that happens when we bring awareness, presence, and ancestral support to our bodies’ need for rest.
On January 25th, I’m holding space for this kind of nourishment. “Rest into Winter with Ancestral Hands” is a 2-hour virtual practice where we work with guided somatic supportive touch, ancestral connection, and what it means to truly land in our bodies.
This offering centers African Diasporic and multicultural healing traditions and welcomes all bodies who come with cultural humility and reverence for these ancestral wisdoms. The practice will honour your pace, your boundaries and the inherent wisdom your body carries.
If some part of you said “yes, I need this” while reading—I hope you’ll join us. And if not this time, I trust you’ll find the rest your body is asking for in whatever way feels right.
Winter is teaching us something. May we allow ourselves to listen.
Warmly,

P.S. Stay tuned for February Black History Month Offerings: A Somatic Nourishment Resting Series honouring Black African Diasporic women, femmes, and gender expansive beings. Practices for deep rest and liberatory self-care—dates and descriptions coming soon.
Come Home to Water ~ A Winter Solstice Gathering
Dear Ones,
I’m so excited to share something special with you—a guided somatic movement and dance experience I’m offering to honour the winter solstice and water’s wisdom.
Somatic Nourishment ~ Water & Winter Solstice is happening on the longest night before the light begins its return. This threshold moment offers us a beautiful container to slow down, connect with our bodies, and explore water as both element and teacher.
It’s about coming home to yourself—moving at your own pace, resting when you need to, and following what feels true for your body in each moment. Everything is adaptable. You can participate seated, standing, lying down, or simply witnessing. Your nourishment is what matters most.
Throughout our time together, we’ll:
- Connect with water’s elemental intelligence and the wisdom already living in your body
- Explore gentle movement and your body’s natural rhythms
- Experience both stillness and flowing movement
- Engage in creative expression through drawing and journaling
- Share and witness in community (always optional)
What you need to know:
- When: Sunday, December 21. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. EST.
- Where: Zoom (from the comfort of your own space)
- Duration: 2 hours total or 90 minutes of practice + optional 30 min.
- Who: Anyone called to connect more deeply with embodied experience. No previous experience needed.
You’ll want to prepare a cozy space where you can move freely, along with some simple supplies like a journal, drawing materials, a glass of water, and a candle to mark this sacred time.
This practice welcomes all bodies, all experiences, all ways of being. Whether you’re curious about somatic work or have an established practice, there’s space for you here.
I’d be honoured to hold space for you during this potent time of year.
With warmth,

Welcome Back to Me (and Maybe to You Too)
Dear Ones,
I’ve been away, and if you’ve been wondering where I disappeared to—I’ve been exactly where the work asks us to be: deep in rest, recovery, and the kind of slow healing that doesn’t perform for anyone.
These past two years, I’ve been navigating breast cancer treatment and recovery for the second time. Not as a wellness warrior or some beacon of inspiration, but as a Black femme learning, yet again, what my body needs when the stakes are high. I had to honour new rhythms, recalibrate capacity, and resist every urge to push through (and into burnout). Turns out, practising what you preach gets very real when your body demands it.
What I’m bringing back: new layers of rest I didn’t know existed, a profound understanding of what true embodied nourishment feels like, and some practices I’m excited to share with you.
What’s coming:
- I’m opening my practice to new clients
- Upcoming somatic workshops, community practices (details soon!)
- Sharing mini soma moments -short, soulful somatic offerings for your nervous system and soul.
- Coming Soon! Somatic Coaching – A supportive somatic approach to embodied transformative change: centring nourishing restorative pathways of self-love and self-worth as you shapeshift, living into your dreams
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to tend to yourself differently, or if you’re craving somatic support that centres Black women and femmes of colour, I’d love to work with you.
More soon. For now, I’m here.
Sending a slow wave with lots of love,
